Second Journals Planner
Characterize Simon from Lord of the Flies, please?

I need a characterization of Simon from Lord of the Flies, but only from the first chapter (maybe second?) of the book. If someone could help me out, I’d be so grateful. I left my book (and my planner) somewhere at school, and I’m not going to be there until tomorrow.

But I have a long-term journal assignment due tomorrow, which is why I only want to know about him from the first chapters. I need to write a journal entry in his point of view, and then I’ll be doing it again at the middle of the book and at the end. So, if someone could tell me a few things about him and if he does anything note-worthy (besides fainting), that’d be awesome.

Simon is quiet, wise, and slight in comparison to Ralph and Jack, yet they seem to consider him an equal. I don’t believe he does anything noteworthy in the first chapters, but I think he finds his “secret place” and begins stealing off to it. This is first sign of his separation from the other boys.
