How long should I make my episode synopses for my television pitch bible?
I am creating a pitch bible for an animated sitcom and I am confused about how long to make the episode breakdowns. In some books, I have seen single loglines, in others, I have seen 3-5 sentences that cover the A & B story. I’ve seen a pitch to Cartoon Network where the network exec told the pitcher, “I never want to read a pitch that says, ‘Harry and Sally go down to the river and hilarity ensues. I want to know what actually HAPPENED!’” This implies that I should write multiple sentences, but I am not sure what plot points to cover. Can anyone suggest a site that has pitch bibles that were actually optioned? I don’t want to screw up this insane opportunity.
i would write several sentences that outline what is to happen within the ep without giving away the ending…
